X-Distribute: distribute version 2.1 (Alpha) patchlevel 24e+000315
X-Sequence: announce-jp 495
Subject: ANNOUNCE: 4.1 installation ISO images now up at ftp.freebsd.org
Errors-To: owner-announce-jp@jp.freebsd.org
Sender: owner-announce-jp@jp.freebsd.org

For the x86 ("PC") architecture:

    ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/i386/ISO-IMAGES/4.1-install.iso

For the Compaq Alpha architecture:

    ftp://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/releases/alpha/ISO-IMAGES/4.1-install.iso

These images are fully bootable on their respective machine types and
simply need to be copied to CDR using the appropriate mastering software
(I use FreeBSD and /usr/ports/sysutils/cdrecord, myself).

The MD5 signature of each image can also be found in the corresponding
CHECKSUM.MD5 file.

Regards,

- Jordan
