Cucipop, the Cubic Circle POP3 server, is a very small and fast server for POP3 mail clients--far faster than UW's ipop3d. It does not support POP2, but it does include support for the TOP extension to POP3, Content-Length: headers, and APOP. It can be run from inetd or standalone.
Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
The pkg_admin audit command locates any installed package which has been mentioned in security advisories as having vulnerabilities.
