GemFetch is a command-line system information tool written in Rust that displays information about your operating system, software, and hardware in an aesthetic and visually pleasing way. The overall purpose of GemFetch is to be used in screenshots of your system. The information is displayed alongside a simple ASCII art design, providing a clean and minimalist view of your system's key details.

Binary packages can be installed with the high-level tool pkgin (which can be installed with pkg_add) or pkg_add(1) (installed by default). The NetBSD packages collection is also designed to permit easy installation from source.
The pkg_admin audit command locates any installed package which has been mentioned in security advisories as having vulnerabilities.
