.SH DESCRIPTION
This page contains notes regarding ploticus' use as an
interactive data display tool under X11.

.SH X11 DISPLAYS
.LP
\fBPloticus\fR
will draw in an X11 window if the \fC-x11\fR command line option is used.
This is mostly intended for preview during development of data displays.
The \fC-pagesize\fR command line option (or the \fCpagesize\fR attribute
of \fBproc page\fR may be used to control the size of the window, and
the \fC-winloc\fR command line option may be used to control the location
of the upper-left corner of the window. Not supported are the standard X
resources scheme and the standard X command line arguments such as \fC-geometry\fR.

.SH USING VIEWERS SUCH AS GHOSTVIEW OR XV
.LP
If you have a Postscript viewer such as GhostView you can automatically invoke
the viewer to display PostScript results using the \fC-viewer\fR command line
option. Likewise, \fC-viewer\fR may be used to automatically invoke an
image viewing tool such as XV.
